Reel Collective
Reel Collective
Visual identity for Reel Collective, a community striving to explore queer topics and marginalized groups through film. Branding included logo design, merchandise concepts and a responsive web design. The idea behind Reel Collective is to provide a space where people can share and experience films that focus on either marginalized or minority based themes, specifically queer identities, topics and directors. This collective believes that film is a great tool to connect people and spark conversation in a safe space that surrounds peripheral topics. It’s an art form that can allow us to engage in experiences that we ourselves may not normally be privy to or understand fully and it can help us to better understand others and the world around us in a different context.
One of the earliest forms of colour production in cinema was produced by the technicolor 3-strip process 4. The camera contained colour filters, a split cube prism and three rolls of black and white film. Combined with the colour filter and prism, the three strips of film recorded green, red and blue light. It is for these reasons that these colours have been selected to make up the colour palette.

Our studio collaborated with WWF Canada on their innovative "Deadly Flora" campaign, aimed at shedding light on the harmful effects of plastic plants on the environment. In partnership with TAXI Montreal, we produced captivating still life photography, videos, and original music for the campaign. The "Deadly Flora Exhibit" was displayed in a botanical garden, where visitors were presented with herbariums showcasing the toxicity of plastic plants. We were thrilled to support such an important cause and contribute to raising awareness about the global plastic crisis. Our team utilized our artistic vision and creative skills to create content that aligned with the campaign's message and effectively communicated its urgency.
